Social Security Scotland meetings with Dundee City Council: FOI release

You asked for:
a) How many times have Social Security Scotland met with Dundee City Council in the last year.
b) A breakdown of the dates in which they met.
c) Details of whom represented Social Security Scotland at these meetings.
Response
In answer to part ‘A’ of your question, meetings are not recorded centrally, however a search of individual diaries suggests that, at the time of your request, Social Security Scotland has met with Dundee City Council 35 times in the last year. Social Security Scotland meets regularly with Dundee City Council officials given that our headquarters is based in a Dundee City Council building. A copy of some of the information you requested under part ‘B’ and ‘C’ of your question can be found in annex B below. ANNEX A REASONS FOR NOT PROVIDING INFORMATION Section 38(1)(b) – Personal Information An exemption under section 38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested, such as name and contact information. Disclosing this information would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018. This exemption is not subject to the ‘public interest test’, so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
