Additional graduate and Higher National Certificate (HNC) places pledge: FOI release
Information requested
Any information (e.g. figures or civil servant briefings) on the Scottish Government's performance regarding its pledge to work "with the Scottish Funding Council to offer over 1,500 additional places on Higher National Certificate courses in colleges in 2018-19 and over 400 extra graduate level places."
Response
In collaboration with colleagues at the Scottish Funding Council, over 1,800 HNC and over 400 graduate level, additional Early Learning and Childcare related places were provided for the academic year 2018/19. Those places were distributed as across further and higher education institutions as set out below. Please note that graduate level courses are provided across further and higher education institutions.
