Scottish Government delegation to property event in Cannes: FOI review
Information requested
All information related to a Scottish Government delegation to MIPIM 2019 in Cannes in March. This should include all travel and hotel information, whether business class seats were booked and which hotels were used, by whom, at what cost.
It would also be appreciated if you could include individual claims for expenses, showing where the (public) money was expended. In the case of hotels, bars or restaurants, this should be fully itemised, showing what food and drink is being claimed for.
Response
Further to my letter of 8 May 2019 I have now completed my review of our response to your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for: “All information related to a Scottish Government delegation to MIPIM 2019 in Cannes in March. This should include all travel and hotel information, whether business class seats were booked and which hotels were used, by whom, at what cost. It would also be appreciated if you could include individual claims for expenses, showing where the (public) money was expended. In the case of hotels, bars or restaurants, this should be fully itemised, showing what food and drink is being claimed for.”
I have concluded that a different decision should be substituted. The earlier response summarised expenses claimed by delegates. I have now provided a detailed breakdown of the costs you requested, including itemised food and drink expenses and travel class for all journeys. I have also included costs incurred by delegates during travel to and from the UK airport departure point.
I apologise that this information was not provided in the response of 18 April 2019.
