The answer to your question is

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide the information you have requested because an exemption(s) under section(s) 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide details of the total number of former DWP staff working in the Social Security Programme, Agency and Chief Digital Officer areas who are claiming excess fares, this is because this information is not held broken down to this level of detail. The information you have requested cannot be supplied under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.

The information you have requested about application of the Excess fares Policy is contained within the attached Scottish Government Excess Fares Policy, attached below.

The total amount paid in excess fares allowance for Social Security Directorate in 2018 was £53,091.57 and for Social Security Scotland was £23,416.90.
