Information requested

When the Scottish Government Marketing and Insight unit was established. For each financial year, or part thereof, since the Scottish Government Marketing and Insight unit was created the total number of staff employed in the Marketing and Insight unit. For each financial year, or part thereof, since the Scottish Government Marketing and Insight unit was created the total number of staff employed on a permanent contractual basis. For each financial year, or part thereof, since the Scottish Government Marketing and Insight unit was created the total number of staff employed on a temporary contract or Fixed Term Appointment basis.

Response

The Scottish Government Marketing and Insight unit was established on 26 Jan 2018, bringing together two separate teams that were previously known as the Marketing Unit and the Strategy and Insight team.

The total number of full time equivalent staff employed in the Marketing and Insight Unit as of 31 March 2018 was 23.7. Of these staff, those on permanent contracts equated to 10.4 (full time equvelant), and those on temporary or fixed term appointments equated to 13.3.

Numbers of FTE staff vary throughout the financial year and the figures represent staff numbers on just one day of each year, 31 March. This means that these figures are a 'snapshot': they do not represent either a total number or average number of staff employed in the year.
