Early Learning and Childcare Workforce Model: FOI release
Information requested
Any modelling conducted on how many additional staff will be required to train and join the ELC workforce by 2020. Any changes made to the ELC workforce modelling and what caused these changes to be made. Any policy decisions made which affected the modelled number of ELC staff required by 2020.

We prepared the technical note on the ELC Workforce Model in order to set out the assumptions and data sources which underpin our estimates. As highlighted in this note our workforce model was developed following the publication of the FinancialReview of Early Learning and Childcare in September 2016, which provided us with more detailed information on the operation of settings in the public, private and third sectors.
