ELC funded places in partner provider nurseries: FOI release
Information requested
The current hourly rate for 2018/19 and 2019/2020 to be paid by each of the 32 Local Authority Councils for ELC funded places in partner provider nurseries across Scotland, for eligible 2 year olds (where applicable) and 3-5 years.
Response
The relevant information we hold was collected from local authorities in September 2017 as part of their expansion plans using estimates on the basis of information available to them at that point. The only local authority to confirm the hourly rate for 2018-19 in their expansion plan was Perth & Kinross, where they noted:
Currently PKC pays an hourly rate of £3.23 to Partner Providers (moving to £3.49 on 1 January 2018).
At the point of providing this information most authorities were still in the process of considering, and potentially consulting on, rates for 2018-19 and 2019-20 and therefore only provided estimated rates in their expansion plans.
You may therefore wish to contact each local authority directly, including Perth & Kinross Council, who will be able to provide updated information on their planned rates for 2018-19, many of which will now be confirmed.
