Information requested

Whether Scottish government staff benefit from access to the employee savings scheme operated by Edenred under the Scottish government Framework?

If so, How much does it cost SG to provide access to the scheme for its employees on a total and per head basis?

Response

The Scottish Government framework contract with Edenred no longer exists. However, Crown Commercial Services has a framework contract with Edenred and the Scottish Government call-off on this for the following benefits:

Childcare vouchers; Cycle to Work; Payroll giving; and Employee discounts.

In January 2018 the costs incurred were £322.52 (£268.77 + £53.75 VAT) for childcare vouchers and £40.80 for payroll giving. No charges were incurred for Cycle to Work or Employee Discounts.
