Information requested

During 2017 (to date) what percentage from the total FOI requests were supplied free of charge and what percentage was charged?

Response

Although FOISA includes a provision which allows public authorities, including the Scottish Government, to charge a fee for responding to a request the Scottish Government's policy is not to charge applicants for providing information in response to a request. In all cases (therefore 100%), where the Scottish Government has responded to an FOI request this has been free of charge.
