Information requested

How many workers from private firms have been seconded to work for the Scottish Government in each of the last seven years. This should include the name of the organisation where the person came from, which department the person went to work in and details of their role within the department, their start date and the duration of the secondment.

Response

Between 1 August 2010 and 31 July 2017, 119 individuals were seconded to the Scottish Government from private firms. The exact roles these secondees undertake are agreed between the relevant Scottish Government business area and the secondee's employer; details of these arrangements are not stored centrally. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the costs of locating, retrieving and providing the information requested would exceed the upper cost limit of £600.

Your other requests are detailed at Annex A.
