Information requested

This is a restatement/clarification of several previous requests, most recently covered by the review response 202500459494.

Scottish Government Ministers have repeatedly made statements, in the Scottish Parliament and elsewhere, which include a comparison of GDP per capita growth rates in Scotland with the UK as a whole since 2007.

The information I am looking for is whether, since this comparison was first made, any Scottish Government Minister has asked civil servants to provide the equivalent comparison for different base years? In other words: the Scotland vs UK comparison of GDP per capita growth rates since base years subsequent to 2007.

And if no Scottish Government Minister has ever asked for this data to be prepared, has any Scottish Government civil servant used their own initiative to calculate the data?

And if they have, was the data shared with any Ministers?

Response

I enclose a copy of all of the information you requested. Annex A contains relevant information shared with the Minister for Finance and Local Government on 19th June 2025 on GDP per person growth rates.
