Information requested

The number of FOI requests made by the BBC each year since the SNP first came to power.

Response

The information you requested for the period from 1 January 2017 to the date of your request is set out in the following table:

Year Number of FOI requests from the BBC 2008 15 2009 13 2010 15 2011 7 2012 5 2013 12 2014 19 2015 34 2016 44 2017 21

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested for the period from 4 May to 31 December 2007 because the system we use for recording and monitoring FOI requests was introduced from 1 January 2008. The database we used before that date is obsolete and is no longer accessible. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have this part of the information you have requested.
