The minutes from the meeting held between Michael Russell MSP and Dr Eberhard and Christine Sasse on 9 March 2017. All correspondence before and after this meeting relating to the meeting.

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested at the Annex to this letter.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because 1.) there were no minutes produced for this meeting. The meeting was informal in it's nature and did not produce any significant points which required to be recorded; and 2.) an exemption under section 32(1)(a)(i) (substantial prejudice to international relations) of FOISA applies to some of the information. Where this exemption applies the information has been redacted. The reasons why that exemption applies are explained at Annex A of this letter.
Finally, there are also a number of additional redactions throughout the information provided; the reason for this is to protect the names and contact numbers of Scottish Government officials.
