Information requested

Per the response, "existing staff and resource were used to update the .Scot domain".

Can you advise:

1) If "resource" refers to consultants or contractors?

2) Approximately how many staff and/or consultants/contractors were involved in the work to make these updates? Additionally, what pay grades are these employees and what are the hourly rates for an consultants or contractors used?

3) Approximately how many hours were allocated to this work?

4) How long is the normal "content review procedure" and what does it involve?

Response

1. The answer to your question is “resource” refers to existing Scottish Government staff at the time and not consultants or contractors.

2 & 3. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not hold the information you have requested. Scottish Government does not hold specific data on who and how much time they spent conducting normal day to day tasks or work as part of what would be considered standard day to day responsibilities for staff in specific job roles.

4. Each content item or topic is different and so there are no set timeframes. More information on the content design process Scottish Government follows is published here https://servicemanual.gov.scot/browse/designing-your-service/content-standards/guidance-for-content-designers
