CivTech Challenge application scorecards: FOI release
Information requested
1. What shared databases, CRMs, or cross-agency background-check procedures do CivTech assessment panels use to evaluate the credibility, prior funding history, or standing of applicant companies and their founders during the Sift or Exploration stages?
2. Does the CivTech Directorate have access to, or request data from, the Scottish Enterprise / South of Scotland Enterprise shared Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, or any other shared enterprise network to view applicant history? If so, please provide any and all data, reports, or adverse markers received from those third parties by CivTech regarding the Search Terms.
3. Please provide the blank, uncompleted scoring rubrics/matrices used by assessors for CivTech Challenges 10.7 and 11.5.
Response
1. Scottish Government do not hold the information requested. All applicants must complete a grounds for mandatory exclusion form as part of their application which is self-declared. Other due diligence processes are applied at later stages beyond Sift and Exploration stage should applicants progress that far. CivTech assessment panels do not use any shared databases, CRMs or cross-agency background-check procedures to evaluate the credibility, prior funding history, or standing of applicant companies and their founders during the Sift or Exploration stages. Evaluation is based solely on the answers on the application form against the published criteria.
2. Scottish Government do not hold the information requested. CivTech does not have access to, or request data from, Scottish Enterprise / South of Scotland Enterprise shared Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, or any other shared enterprise networks to view applicant history.
3. The blank, uncompleted scoring sheets used by assessors for CivTech Challenges 10.7 and 11.5 are attached.
