Information requested

You asked for information regarding payments made under the Network Support Grant (NSG) for each of the financial year.

Your request consisted of four sections, we have responded to these below:

You asked for:

1. A list of every organisation that received a payment under the Network Support Grant.

2. The total amount paid to each recipient during each financial year.

3. The total eligible live service kilometres used to calculate each recipient’s payment for each financial year.

4. Where applicable, the amount of any additional payments or adjustments made to each recipient (including reconciliations, clawback or supplementary payments), together with a brief explanation of the reason for the adjustment.

Response

Our response to questions 1, 2 and 3 can be found in Annex A which is attached in our correspondence.

Question 4 is subject to exemption under Section 12(1) of FOISA. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the costs of locating, retrieving and providing the information requested would exceed the upper cost limit of £600. The number of records within the three financial years requested would be too voluminous to review within the upper cost limit. Under section 12 of FOISA public authorities are not required to comply with a request for information if the authority estimates that the cost of complying would exceed the upper cost limit, which is currently set at £600 by Regulations made under section 12. You may, however, wish www.transport.gov.scot to consider reducing the scope of your request in order that the costs can be brought below £600.

You may also find it helpful to look at the Scottish Information Commissioner's Tips for requesting information under FOI and the EIRs on his website at: http://www.itspublicknowledge.info/YourRights/Tipsforrequesters.aspx.
