The following information:

On 13th February 2025, the Scottish Government’s Chief Economist Gary Gillespie was sent the article “Infinite and Everywhere”, published by These Islands.

Please list all people who Gary Gillespie shared this article with, by name if possible, and by position if naming is not possible.

In addition, for the period 29th August 2024 - date, please provide all documentation or correspondence (by email or by direct messaging application) held by the Chief Economist, Constitution, Energy and Climate Change, and Offshore Wind directorates, which mentions the These Islands article “Infinite and Everywhere”.

For part 1, Gary Gillespie shared this article with two colleagues in his Directorate - Kathy Johnston and a Senior Economist.

For part 2, I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested. There was one e-mail within the scope of your request.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption under section s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies. The name of the individual below the Senior Civil Service has been withheld. In addition an exemption under section s.38(1)(a) (personal information of the requester) has also been applied.
