National Thematic Inspection: Local authority approaches to supporting school improvement submissions: FOI release
Information requested
I would be grateful if you could provide the following information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
In March HMIE published a national thematic inspection report on how local authorities in Scotland support school improvement.
To inform the report HMIE visited all 32 local authorities and produced reports on their findings. East Dunbartonshire Council recently shared the “summarised findings” report written by HMIE following its visit from inspectors. I would like to receive the equivalent report for all 32 councils, please.

These reports reflect the findings gathered during HM Inspectors’ visits to each local authority and contributed to the National Thematic Inspection of Local Authority Approaches to School Improvement that was published on 12 March 2025.
