1. Please provide an unredacted version of the Scottish Government’s full equality impact assessment (EQIA) for its new hybrid working policy, where staff should spend 40% of their contracted hours working in an office or community.

2. Please provide any correspondence or documentation published about this on the Scottish Government’s intranet.

Response

I have provided a PDF copy of the Equality Impact Assessment for “Revision of the hybrid working policy for core Scottish Government employees” shown as annex A.

I have interpreted the second part of the request “provide any correspondence or documentation published about this on the Scottish Government’s intranet” to mean any internal comments from colleagues when the Equality Impact Assessment for Revision of the hybrid working policy for core Scottish Government employees was published internally on 29 July 2025 shown as annex B and annex C.

Junior Civil Servant names have been redacted under Section 38(1)(b) (personal information) to protect the identity to protect the identity of colleagues who are not Senior Civil Servants.
