Information requested
You asked for all publicly funded schools in Scotland from the relevant dashboards:
Primary Dashboard Data (2021 and 2022):
Literacy % Meeting Level (disaggregated by writing, listening & talking, reading if available) Numeracy % Meeting Level Gap in Literacy (most deprived minus least deprived) Gap in Numeracy (most deprived minus least deprived)
Secondary Dashboard Data (2021 and 2022):
Literacy % Meeting Level Numeracy % Meeting Level Gap in attainment in Literacy (most deprived minus least deprived) Gap in attainment in Numeracy (most deprived minus least deprived) Percentage of school leavers with one or more passes at SCQF Level 5 or better Percentage of school leavers with one or more passes in vocational qualifications at SCQF Level 4 or better Percentage of school leavers in a positive follow-up destination

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have all the information you have requested.
See attached Annex 1 which includes disclosure-controlled data for all publicly funded primary schools in Scotland for the following measures:
1. Writing % Meeting Level - 20/21 and 21/22
2. Listening & Talking % Meeting Level - 20/21 and 21/22
3. Reading % Meeting Level - 20/21 and 21/22
4. Numeracy % Meeting Level - 20/21 and 21/22

s17(1) information not held applies for the following measures requested:
Gap in Literacy (most deprived minus least deprived) for both primary & secondary schools Gap in Numeracy (most deprived minus least deprived) for both primary & secondary schools Percentage of school leavers with one or more passes in vocational qualifications at SCQF Level 4 or better
Further analysis of data held by the Scottish Government may be possible as part of our “business as usual”, subject to consideration of legal, ethical and other factors. As additional analysis is required to generate the information you have requested, it is not covered under Freedom of Information legislation. If you still require this information, please re-send your request to school.stats@gov.scot for further consideration by relevant staff within the Scottish Government.
s17(1) information not held also applies to the request for 20/21 secondary data on literacy and numeracy % meeting level. This is because Achievement of Curriculum for Excellence Levels (ACEL) data was not collected in secondary schools for 2020-21.
