Information requested

The full costs of running the Public Attitudes Survey for Scotland in the last five years, with a full breakdown per year and what the money was spent on.

Response

There is no such survey as ‘the Public Attitudes survey for Scotland’. However, cost information for the Scottish Social Attitudes Survey is available on Public Contracts Scotland. This can be searched to give the price and services purchased. There were two areas of spend for the time period of interest:

2023 - https://www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk/search/show/search_view.aspx? ID=AUG487163 2019 & 2021 – the total contract price was split evenly between delivery of the survey and reporting in 2019 and 2021. The planned 2020 wave was postponed to 2021 due to COVID restrictions. https://www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk/search/show/search_view.aspx? ID=JUN356525
