Information requested

A list of all buildings owned or leased by the Scottish Government and its agencies that are currently vacant, including:

The date each building became vacant The reason for vacancy Whether there are plans for reuse, sale, or demolition

A breakdown of the total costs associated with maintaining these vacant buildings, including:

Security and maintenance costs Utility costs (electricity, water, heating, etc.) Business rates paid on empty properties Any other relevant expenses

A list of all buildings that have been vacant for more than three years, including any attempts to sell or repurpose them.

Response

Scottish Government does not currently have any vacant properties on its estate.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance, Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. This is because Agencies manage their estate independently of Scottish Government.
