Since 2020-21, two grants have been provided, the details of which are set out below.

In financial year 2020-21, the Scottish Government's Justice Division provided a grant of £67,500. This grant was for the delivery of a campaign on responsible dog ownership and dog control. The full grant was spent on delivering this campaign.

In financial year 2020-21, the Scottish Government's Animal Welfare Team provided a grant of £135,000. This grant was for the delivery of a campaign to highlight the unlicensed puppy trade and to promote responsible buying of a puppy. The final amount claimed for delivery of the campaign was £128,907.

The Scottish SPCA was tasked with delivering these campaigns due to Scottish Government resources being deployed to the Covid-19 outbreak.
