On 8 August 2024, a meeting took place between officials from the Constitutional Futures Division (CFD), the First Minister and the Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Culture, where next steps on the Building a New Scotland series were discussed.
On 23 September 2024, the First Minister communicated with officials and the Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Culture to ask for work on an overview paper for the Building A New Scotland series to be taken forward.
