Information requested
Data for the parameters in the year 2016 in 11 local authorities of "East Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire , East Renfrewshire, Glasgow City, Inverclyde, North Ayrshire, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire, and West Dunbartonshire". The parameters are as following:
1. Number of daily walking trips. 2. Number of daily mechanized, non-motorized trips. 3. Number of daily motorised trips on public modes. 4. Number of daily motorised trips on private mode.
In my response to clarify the request, I informed you that we did not hold exactly the data you requested. I suggested that I could replicate table TD2e from our publication 'Transport and Travel in Scotland' for the local authorities you have requested and using data for 2016. You responded that you would like to receive the suggested analysis.
Response
I enclose a copy of the suggested analysis of table TD2e for the local authorities you requested in an Excel file. Please note that there are limitations to these estimates, they are based on a sample survey and only cover journeys made the day before the survey interview. It is unlikely, for example, that no resident in East Dunbartonshire made a journey by bike during 2016. However, none were captured in the survey responses.
