Information requested

Details of whether Russian oil is sold at Glasgow Prestwick Airport.

Response

Glasgow Prestwick Airport operates on a commercial basis at arm’s length from Scottish Ministers, therefore the Scottish Government does not hold any information concerning contracts between GPA and its suppliers.

Officials wrote to Glasgow Prestwick Airport on behalf of Kate Forbes, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Gaelic, to ask whether Glasgow Prestwick Airport is aware of any Russian Oil being sold via its facilities.

Glasgow Prestwick Airport responded stating that they are satisfied that all suppliers to the airport are compliant with UK sanctions prohibiting the sale of Russian products.
