Exemption to the Bute House Agreement: FOI release
Information requested
Which organisations/companies/employers (however you define this) have applied for an exemption to the Bute House Agreement conditionality that all staff of businesses in receipt of public sector funding must pay all staff the Real Living Wage. I would like this to include a breakdown of who had their request granted, and who had their request denied. I would also like the reasoning or rationale for approval or rejection.
Response
I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested in the PDF annex attached. This information relates to exception requests for Scottish Government grants only.
The Scottish Government does not have some the information you have asked for because the Scottish Government does not hold information relating to the funding decisions of other public sector organisations.
This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested.
However, you may wish to contact specific public bodies individually who may be able to help you.
