Response
The Scottish Government works with a range of public bodies but we believe your request refers to the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) as stated here Departments, agencies and public bodies - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk). Please note this is not a Scottish Government website and this is not an accurate representation of the Scottish Government structure.
Response to your request
Copies of communications with the Chief Executive of APHA which we hold in our system have been attached. We recommend you contact APHA for further information: enquiries@apha.gov.uk.
The Scottish Government does not provide funding to APHA for plant health. In financial year 2023-24 we expect to provide around £16m to APHA to support the operational delivery of animal health services. This supports business as usual activities and does not include costs that may arise from animal disease outbreaks.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. We do not hold information pertaining to staff who previously worked for the Scottish Government and now work for APHA.
