Programme for Government investment into new changing places toilets: FOI release
Information requested
Details of all internal meetings that have taken place between September 2021 and January 2024, inclusive, within the Scottish Government regarding the pledge made in the 2021/22 Programme for Government to invest £10 million in new Changing Places toilets.
Response
I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested in the table following this letter. We have provided a list obtained from officials outlook calendars of all meetings named as specifically regarding Changing Places Toilets, that took place during the timeframe referenced above. As the Changing Places Toilets programme was subsumed into the ongoing work of the Autism and Learning Disabilities Unit within Scottish Government, discussion also took place as part of informal, unminuted team and unit meetings alongside a range of other related policy discussions.
Team and Unit meetings are routine and held on a regular basis to support policy work and direct staff. In addition to the meetings outlined above, Changing Places Toilets would be discussed at directorate wide meetings from time to time.
Therefore, whilst our aim is to provide information whenever possible, as many of these meetings were informal and Changing Places Toilets were discussed alongside other ongoing business, the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. In addition, some of the information you have requested has been removed because an exemption under section s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to that information.
