The list of schools in Dumfries and Galloway which haven’t been inspected by Education Scotland in the last five years and last 10 years is attached at Appendix A.
Notes
The list of schools provided in part one, includes schools provided in part two. The Scottish Government’s School Contact details for local authority schools (dated July 2023) includes schools and units that have been opened, merged, renamed or provide additional support needs services. The list of schools which have not been inspected in the last 10 years is taken as the total number of local authority schools currently open which have not been inspected since academic year 2012/13 (inclusive). The list of schools which have not been inspected in the last five years is taken as the total number of local authority schools currently open which have not been inspected since academic year 2017/18 (inclusive). An inspection is considered to have taken place where it is an original inspection, not a further inspection which took place as a result of the outcome of an original inspection. An inspection is considered to be completed once the inspection report has been published. For this reason, inspections that commenced in academic year 2023/24 are not included in the attached lists. On 13 March 2020, Education Scotland paused all routine inspections of early learning and childcare settings and schools activity in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Routine inspections resumed in September 2022.
