O365 Licencing & Microsoft Telephony Questions:
Which Microsoft O365 do you use, e.g. E3, E5? Do you use the NHS-shared O365 tenant? Do you procure O365 licences through Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA) or Cloud Service Provider (CSP)? Who is your supplier? When is your licencing renewal date/anniversary for these services? Do you have Microsoft Calling Plans, if so how many licences (users) Do you have other forms of Microsoft Telephony such as Direct routing/Operator connect? How many licences (users) and which supplier? When is your licencing renewal date/anniversary for these services?
Response
Scottish Government use a mixture of Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 licences. The Scottish Government’s primary Office 365 tenant is their own, some users have access to the NHS Office 365 tenant for collaboration purposes. Scottish Government uses a mixture of both EA and CSP for various licences. We use a Microsoft EA for our main purchases. The incumbent supplier is Softcat (UK), this is in the process of being transferred to Computacenter, under the new Scottish Procurement Software Value Added Reseller (SVAR) framework. The renewal date for the EA is 1 April each year - we are in Year 2 of a 3-year Microsoft EA. Yes. we hold 12 Microsoft Teams Domestic Calling Plan licences. Yes, we use Operator Connect and our supplier is Gamma. We have 281 users using Microsoft Teams Phone and Operator Connect. Our contract with Gamma is until October 2025 with an optional 12-month extension available.
