The total number of Ministerial cars in a) 2017, b) 2018, c) 2019, d) 2020, e) 2021, f) 2022. The total number of Ministerial cars which used diesel fuel in each of years set out in Q1. The total number of Ministerial cars which used petrol fuel in each of the years set out in Q1. The total number of Ministerial cars which were electric in each of the years set out in Q1. The total number of miles travelled in diesel fueled Ministerial cars in each year set out in Q1. The total number of miles travelled in petrol fueled Ministerial cars in each year set out in Q1. The total number of miles travelled in electric Ministerial cars in each year set out in Q1.
Response
We are able to provide some of the information you have requested, however exemptions apply to other aspects of your request.
I enclose details of the Government Car Service fleet, broken down into fuel type and years for the periods requested.
An exemption under section 17(1) applies to the information you have requested regarding the total number of miles travelled by each separate fuel type.
The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because this has been routinely destroyed, in accordance with our standards records management practices, before the date of your request.

1. During each year there are a number of purchases and disposals. We generally keep an operational fleet of between 25 - 30 vehicles at any given point.
