Scottish Government ownership of wind farms, land and sea: EIR release
Information requested
What percentage of wind farms, land or sea, in scotland is currently owned by the Scottish governent. Ownership does not include land/water leased to private companies but actual wind farms owned by the Scottish goverment or subsidiaries of the Scottish goverment?
Response
The Scottish Government does not own any onshore or offshore wind farms. This applies to both direct ownership and ownership via subsidiaries of the Scottish Government, as per your request. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested. Under the terms of the exception at regulation 10(4)(a) of the EIRs (information not held), the Scottish Government is not required to provide information which it does not have. The Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested because we do not hold ownership of any wind farms in Scotland, land or sea.
