Information requested

How much did the bike loan scheme cost overall? A breakdown of what the money was spent on? What was the predicted number of people who Scot Gov researchers thought would take advantage of the scheme?

Response

The Access Bikes loan transactions Scheme ran from Sept 2021 until Feb 2022. Specific answers to your questions are below:

£145,000 is the total amount spent on the Access Bikes Scheme We don't hold that information as the money was allocated to Cycling UK to run the scheme. The money spent was allocated for resource costs, which include things such as salaries. The scheme was set up with a capacity of 500 loans in mind.
