Information requested

The total number of cycling collisions recorded in each council area in the years 2017, 2018 and 2019. (For assistance, I am essentially looking for up-to-date figures of this existing document - http://www.gov.scot/binaries/content/documents/govscot/publications/foi-eirrelease/2018/03/foi-18-00676/documents/foi_18_00676-injuries-cyclists-annex-2-pdf/foi_18_00676-injuries-cyclists-annex-2-pdf/govscot%3Adocument/FoI_18_00676%2B-%2BInjuries%2Bto%2Bcyclists%2B-%2Bannex%2BA%2B%25282%2529.pdf)

If possible, I’d also really appreciate it if you could show how many of these collisions resulted in a fatality, serious injury or a minor injury.

Response

I enclose a copy of all of the information you requested in the format you asked for. Please note that in 2019, Police Scotland have adopted a new accident recording system that changes the way the severity of casualties in accidents is recorded. As a result, serious and slight casualties for 2019 cannot be compared to previous years. More information is available in Key Reported Road Casualty Statistics 2019.
