Information requested
You asked for:
The total number of Scottish Government employees, by their domicile and residency (for the purposes of tax and NI deductions and payment) being:
a - in Scotland b - elsewhere in the rest of the UK c - outwith the UK
You further asked for the same information broken down by Scottish Government Directorate; and further by Scottish Government Division. You recognise that the further breakdown requested may push the cost above the threshold and/or lead to suppression of data. Your stated preference for reply is the information pertaining to the whole of Scottish Government, followed by Directorate, followed by Division.

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption(s) under section(s) s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to that information. Where the data returns a value of less than 5 this has been supressed in order to ensure that individual staff cannot be identified.
