Scotrail train cancellations Glasgow to Edinburgh via Falkirk High: FOI release
Information requested
Details of all train cancellations on the Glasgow to Edinburgh via Falkirk High service, operated by ScotRail so far in 2019, including the date and time of cancellation, station of origin and reason for cancellation.
Response
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government only holds some of the information you have requested, as some of the detail is not required to be provided by ScotRail under the terms of the franchise agreement.
ScotRail provide cancellation information at Sector Level however this does not include details on the date and time of individual trains or station of origin. The Glasgow to Edinburgh via Falkirk High service is reported as an individual sector (Express Sector E&G) therefore some of the information you have requested relating to all train cancellations is held. Please find attached information since 2019 on Full and Part Cancellations for Express Sector E&G in Annex A. Please note these figures are reported under rail industry reporting periods, with period 1 commencing 1 April and period 13 ending 31 March.
