Information requested

The span of each of the steel and steel/concrete composite bridges constructed in 2016 and 2017 in Scotland. In the case of bridges with multiple spans, please indicate the length of each span.

Response

This response refers only to structures classed as bridges managed by Transport Scotland on behalf of The Scottish Ministers. The figures do not include bridges for which the Scottish Ministers are not the responsible authority e.g. local authority, Network Rail etc. In addition, the figures do not include any footbridges.

Where the material or structural form of a bridge varies by span, the material and structural form of the first span is quoted. This is denoted as the "Primary Deck Element".

The figures are abstracted from Transport Scotland's Integrated Roads Information System (IRIS) database as at 18 June 2018 and are subject to change.
