HMIe reports carried out on George Watson's College: FOI release
Information requested
All HMIe reports carried out on George Watson's College since 2013; in particular you are interested in the report carried out at the school after the three day inspection on 4, 5, 6 September 2017.
Response
I enclose a copy of all of the information you requested. There are two reports from 15 February 2017 and 6 September 2017. However, while our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information requested because an exemption under section 38(1)(b), personal information of FOISA applies to some of the information requested.
The reason why this exemption applies is explained below.
Reasons for not providing information
Section 38(1)(b) - personal information.
An exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to some information which has been redacted from the enclosed documents. This exemption applies because the information is personal data of a third party and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Schedule 1 to the Data Protection Act 1998.
This is because releasing this information could lead to the identification of staff members.
This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
