"I have previously referred to item 2016/0022964 (with area manager for the A86). I would like to see the notes associated with that reference".

I enclose a copy of the information you requested.
The reference number you refer to is for an incoming piece of correspondence and the notes at Annex A contain details of the processing of the case on our correspondence system. I have also enclosed at Annex B a copy of the information provided by our Operating Company to assist with background information for the preparation of the response.
An exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to a small amount of the information because it is personal data of a third party, ie names and contact details of individuals, and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Schedule 1 to the Data Protection Act 1998. This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
