Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route accounts: FOI release

Information requested

Could you please send me a copy of the accounts for all sections of the AWPR project to confirm that it is on target for the initial costing. Can you also confirm if there are any investigations of misuse of public funds.

Response

The contract for the Design, Build, Finance and Operation of the AWPR/B-T project was awarded to Aberdeen Roads Limited (ARL) in December 2014. The total scheme cost estimate in February 2014 and at contract award in December 2014 was £745m. The current spend to date on all sections of the AWPR/B-T project is £233,060,642, which includes, but is not limited to: land purchase; compensation to landowners; utilities; site investigation and environmental surveys and the costs of technical/legal/financial support. Furthermore, I can confirm that no allegations of misuse of public funds have been made.
