Information requested

You asked for annual subsidy levels for the Gourock to Dunoon route for the financial years to March 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, and also; in relation to the Stantec CNA Report on the Gourock to Dunoon route, all documentation held relating to the decision to remove 3 return sailings.

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested in your first question. Transport Scotland do not hold this information on a route-by-route basis, and it is therefore not available.

In relation to your second question, I would draw your attention to the information already published:

The letter from the Minister for Agriculture and Connectivity to Cllr Daniel Hampsey of the 13th of March setting out his decision and the reasons for it. The community needs assessment report The engagement and user survey report published by Transport Scotland on the 13th of March

These are all publicly available on the TS website – Islands Connectivity Plan | Community Needs Assessments | Transport Scotland

I enclose a copy of a document which contains further information relating to the Minister’s decision.

Some of the information is outside the scope of your request and has therefore been redacted.
