Stagecoach Highland and Highland Country Buses funding: FOI release
Information requested
List of all vehicles that have been bought by Stagecoach Highland/Highland Country Buses through funding from the Scottish Government (ScotZEB or any other funding, directly or through the RTP). The information should include vehicle type, date of purchase, registration number, budget source, and whether part or fully funded by the Scottish Government.
Response
The answer to your question is that Highland Country Buses were awarded £4,486,075 to assist withthe purchase of 25 Yutong E10 battery electric buses through our Scottish Zero Emission Bus (ScotZEB) challenge fund Phase 1 scheme. These were ordered from the manufacturer in March 2022 and we paid Highland Country Buses the ScotZEB funding to cover part of the costs towards the purchase of these electric buses. For your information I have included the ScotZEB guidance which details the level of subsidy that operators were able to bid for under ScotZEB funding. The vehicle registration numbers are noted in the table below.
