2) Monthly reporting on the three deposit protection schemes in Edinburgh, for years 2020-21 onwards, including the total value of deposits held by each deposit protection scheme on any given month, as well as the deposits paid in and out.

Response

1) These reports include information including the total value of deposits held by each tenancy deposit scheme on any given month, as well as the deposits paid in and out.

In relation to monthly report information on unclaimed deposits, please be aware that each of the three schemes may calculate unclaimed deposits differently, as the definition of an unclaimed deposit is not currently defined in law, meaning these figures should be taken as estimates only.

2) The Scottish Government does not have the information.

The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because the Tenancy Deposit Schemes are not required by regulation to provide breakdowns of their protected deposits by geographical area.

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
