Response

1. Could you supply all correspondence sent and received by Transport Scotland, including analysis and minutes from meetings, about pavement parking from the last three months?

I enclose a copy of the information you requested which includes all correspondence sent and received by Transport Scotland, including analysis and minutes from meetings, about pavement parking from the last three months.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemption under section s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA apply to that information.

2. How much money has been raised from pavement parking so far, with a breakdown of these costs?

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested. The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because local authorities who have commenced enforcement have not yet provided a breakdown their income and expenditure information.

Transport Scotland produces an annual report detailing the number of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) issued as well as income and expenditure information from each local authority that has Decriminalised Parking Enforcement (DPE) powers. The 2023/24 report will include this same information from all local authorities for the new parking prohibitions. The report is expected to be published on the Transport Scotland website by the end of 2024.

However, in the meantime, you may wish to contact the local authorities as they may be able to help you.
