Information requested
1. Travel Diary - Count of Local Bus stages per head of residential population, excluding coach trips:
Total for 2023 and 2024 separately if possible or 2023+2024 combined if sample sizes are otherwise too small Split by age group: 0-15 (if available?) 16-21 22-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70-79 80+
2. Also please can you provide total trips made using Total Youth Free Concession Bus Pass:
for 2023 and 2024 separately split by 5-15 and 16-21 card types split by Local Authority District of usage
Response
1. Annex A attached contains estimates of the average (mean) number of service bus stages per adult per day from the Scottish Household Survey Travel Diary for 2023 and 2024. The survey collects travel diary data from adults aged 16 or over, so there are no estimates for the 0 – 15 age group. Confidence intervals for the estimates have been provided.

These are smart journeys recorded against a valid product that has been received and processed for payment by Transport Scotland. Journeys are based on the local authority in which the card was issued, therefore some journeys will have been undertaken out with the local authority area. Years stated are calendar years. This data is subject to change due to late data being received.
