Information requested

Further questions to the response sent to you on 14 March 2024 relating to FOI 202400399623.

1. Confirm that all companies that were granted loans from the scheme have been asked to pay back the Scottish Government, in full, by the end of this month? March 2024.

2. If not, how many companies have had further extensions and what date have they been given to pay back their loan?

3. How much money is still outstanding to be paid back?

Response

The answer to your questions are:

1. No, the remaining loans are in default with repayment terms falling before the end of March 2024.

2. As above, the remaining loans are in default and the loan agreements have not been extended beyond their current terms where repayments were, in all cases, due before the end of March 2024.

3. As of 5 April 2024 a total of £14,000,522.36 has been repaid from the 38 loans awarded through the scheme, with £4,841,451 outstanding.
