Correspondence regarding Reidvale Housing Association: FOI release
Information requested
Any correspondence this year so far, from 1st January 2023, between Scottish Government Officials and Ministers that mention or relate to Reidvale Housing Association.
Response
I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested and is attached as Annex A.
An exemption(s) under section(s) 30(b)(i) and 38(1)(b) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested. This is because parts of the documents contain personal information such as names and telephone numbers and one document contains free and frank advice to Ministers in a briefing.
This exemption is subject to the 'public interest test'. Therefore, taking account of all the circumstances of this case, we have considered if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption. We have found that, on balance, the public interest lies in favour of upholding the exemption. We recognise that there is some public interest in release because it contains discussion related to housing policy. However, this is outweighed by the public interest in allowing a free and frank provision of advice to help support the development of legislation and policy.
