Information requested

1) In the Emergency Budget Review, the Scottish Government states it is reprioritising £10m from Housing capital projects, specifically "£6m of reduced expenditure in Buildings Standards projects this financial year due to prioritisation of assessment in advance of remediation (which lowers costs in the first instance), and £4m reduced expenditure in More Homes due to global supply chain issues causing delays to the pace of new build delivery " 1a) Please break down exactly how much was saved from the projects mentioned and which projects are seeing reduced funding.

Response

£6 million of reduced expenditure in Building Standards projects No projects were affected as the funding was not fully allocated for the financial year. We reprioritised the programme to grow survey activity towards 100 surveys, which cost less than remediation. £4 million of reduced expenditure in More Homes No funding has been withdrawn from projects. The reduction reflects slower progress on a range of projects across the country which is restricting the ability to draw down these funds in 2022-23. About FOI
